The Maitland Jazz and Blues Festival returns April 4-5 in downtown Maitland with a dozen artists on two stages.
Headlining the big event will be soulful singer and The Voice contestant Sisaundra Lewis. Ebony Carlson will perform with jazz regular Michael Andrew. Other jazz artists include Laurel Hatfield and the La La Band, The Buzzcatz, the Maitland Stage Band and the Winter Park High School Jazz Band.
The blues stage will rumble with guitarists Chris Cain, Albert Castiglia, Artur Menezes, the 501 Band, jam group Steeln’ Peaches and 8 Ball Aitken.
Enjoy two days of live music in Maitland’s Independence Square along with food, drinks, vendors and a kids play area. Bring chairs and blankets for seating in front of the stages. Sisaundra Lewis is a singer, songwriter, producer and cable television host who appeared on the hit show The Voice. She scored her first number-one U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Hit with her debut single "Shout". She also recorded or shared the stage with Peabo Bryson, Janet Jackson, George Duke, Sheila E., Gloria Estefan, Enrique Iglesias, Patti LaBelle and Najee.
Ebony Carlson toured with the BB King Band and “Classic Albums Live”. She dazzles audiences with her tributes to Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, Etta James, Shirley Bassey, and Aretha Franklin.
Guitarist Chris Cain offers up a soulful stew of Memphis style electric blues. Miami-based guitarist Albert Castiglia mixes classic licks with fun and sometimes raucous stage show.
Los Angeles-based Artur Menezes draws on sounds from his Brazilian heritage with hard-rocking, high-energy blues. Steeln' Peaches is a southern rock and blues group in the mold of the Allman Brothers Band.

Join us for the Egg-Ceptional Family Festival, our Easter themed festival in Center Lake Park!
Welcome back to old school family fun at this Easter themed event. Start practicing your Three-legged racing, Potato sack jumping, and Egg & Spoon balancing because this year will be full of kid-friendly games and competitions! Along with the games, we will have activity tables including a coloring station, pictures with The Easter Bunny. and egg decorating or build a bunny(First 90 sign-ups on Eventbrite, goes live 3/18/25.)
Plus, your favorite Food Trucks and Vendors will be here all morning.
The $10 ticket/wristband is for kids only, ages 2-10. (Adults do not need to purchase)

A self-guided tour through private gardens throughout downtown Sanford's historic district and Sanford Heights neighborhood. This event will feature an artisan vendor market, local gardening and wildlife educators, plein air artists, and a tea lunch. We think it's the perfect way to kickoff springtime in beautiful historic Sanford!
After gathering inspiration, visit our marketplace at Centennial Park (400 S Park Ave, in front of the check in location at Bettye Smith Cultural Arts Center). There will be plenty of plants, art, jewelry, and garden-themed gifts! Here you can also enjoy iced refreshments and other delicious lunch options.
Day of tickets will be sold at Bettye D. Smith Cultural Arts Center (119 W. 5th St, Sanford) and that is also where you will need to check-in for presale tickets.
10 am - 4 pm: Pick up your wristband and map at Bettye D. Smith Cultural Arts Center (119 W. 5th St, Sanford) prior to enjoying the tour. Check-in opens at 9:30 am, gardens open at 10 am. It will take 2 to 3 hours to see all of the gardens.
9:30 am - 4:30 pm: Shop the plant sale and vendor market at Centennial Park (400 S Park Ave, Sanford) and find perfect Mother's Day gifts!
